Thanks to everyone who participated in our first group drive of the year!
Nine owners along with nine family members gathered at the original Buffalo Supercharger under optimal conditions at 10 a.m. sharp on April 10, 2021.
Aside from one couple who had a COVID vaccine appointment priority, we snaked our way behind the Shops at Clarence Mall (or whatever it's called now!) and hung a left on Route 5 until we hit Newstead.
A brief mass-up within Akron Falls Park—truly a quiet place, even on a Saturday morning—and we were off again. That included a cruise down the same stretch of Main Street in Akron where they shot "A Quiet Place: Part II" and then due north to our destination.
(Ed. note: I was hoping to share some dashcam footage of a daring deer that almost halted our drive, but forgot to honk and never captured the darn incident. Take my word for it, please!)
A pair of other couples met us at the destination: the Cayuga Marsh (Pool) Overlook at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge in Genesee County. Binoculars out and ready, we tried our best to spot the bald eagles who nest in the distance. It's not clear if anyone got a glimpse, but we were busy having a good time out in the wild, as it were.
Special thanks to Eric Milligan and his daughter/navigator for keeping the caravan in one piece, and to all of our members representing the Niagara Frontier and Finger Lakes regions.

nice drive... BTW the deer was trying to race you. She can do 0-60 in 3 seconds... 8-)
