Our first Thousand Island – Seaway Region was a phenomenal success! We met at the Watertown Supercharger on Saturday, July 25th. Although we had a small turnout for this event, it ended up allowing for us to have the opportunity to get to know each other better and provided more flexibility.
In total, we had four Teslas and six members, which is a rare sight for this area ever since our Canadian neighbors haven’t been able to visit due to COVID-19.
It was a short 9-mile drive to the lovely town of Sackets Harbor, where we had lunch at Sackets Harbor Brewing Company. The view was amazing, the food was delicious, and the staff was welcoming.
After lunch, we went to Strader's Ice Cream Stand for the best dessert in town. From there, we drove a very short distance to Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Park, where we enjoyed a nice breeze and a beautiful view of Black River Bay.
I am happy how the event turned out, and everyone seemed to enjoy the small town. It was great how everyone shared their Tesla stories, and how we could improve the ownership experience for us, future club members, and soon-to-be Tesla drivers.
