As a Tesla Owner, you want to take your car on all of your road trips. However, you might want to take advantage of some of the other charging networks available along your route. Maybe you want to try out one of those new FLO fast charging CHAdeMO charge locations, but you don't have the $400 adapter? Good news! Every official paid member of the Tesla Owners Club of Alberta has access to our multiple charging kits that we loan out.
You can quickly see the availability of the adapters and request to borrow one using this page on our main website.
Go ahead and plan your road trip without having to worry about the proper adapters. That's just another benefit of being a TOCA member.
This is a great idea, how long can you borrow them for? I have been to BC a number of times in the past 6 months and this would be helpful.
@cpt I have used TOCA chademo charger a couple of times. Used it for a trip to Vancouver and it saved my butt as I got range anxiety getting to the top of the coaq. It also was very handy in Vancouver as they had a bunch of locations with 50kwh power. It allowed us to go shopping at superstore in Richmond and charge up. The one behind the superstore in Richmond was free to use so it was a bonus.
@Dan - The only time I've used the CHAdeMO is at Blairmore Crowsnest Crossing station. Hit the peak 44 kW.
Great idea! Hope this expands adventure possibilities for many. What kind of charging speeds have people received?
